The tragic downing of a plane full of soldiers 14-6

This morning tragically a big cargo plane was brought down by Russians and 49 people died.

For me the big question is: Why do you send a big clumsy cargo plane to an airfield in the middle of enemy territory, that is known to be freely under attack (by mortars for instance)? Are some people not clearly thinking?
