The area south of this defense line seems to be something like gardeners plots.
On a larger scale:

It shows that the defense line they have build is FACING the airport, but NOT the advancing Ukrainian army.
Probably they will have built some more defenses like this too:

But even then... basically they are out in the open. They have NO protection against artillery. This is suicide for them... Garden houses won't give a lot of shelter either.

Even for the rebels the situation gets out of control

Now the pro-Russian rebels in Donetsk and Lugansk are getting aware too of the situation that they have Chechen warriors on their territory, whom they can not control. The nickname for these men is 'Kadyrovs", named after their leader Kadyrov..

The first sign of the Chechen having their own agenda was when they kicked all the pro-Russians out of their HQ in Donetsk and cleared all the barricades.

Now even self-proclaimed, criminal and junky mayor of Slovyansk Ponomarev says in this article that the only thing the Kadyrovs are doing is looting. He also says the Kadyrovs are shelling residential areas of the city to blame the Ukrainian army.

We know that Ponomarev is a liar and cannot be trusted on his word. But we have already stated in many occasions how the (pro)Russians work. See for instance:

In this video it can be seen how heavily armed Kadyrovs rob a building.



In this article favorite terrorist Babai is complaining that the Chechen asked him to submit to Allah. He said he was Orthodox and so they took his gun, threatened him to cut his tongue off and nearly raped him.

That's the problem when you invite the devil to work for you... after he entered your house, he will turn against YOU and you are not powerful enough to deal with him.

In this article Russian commander Strelkov urgently asks for medical personnel, since the ones that were available fled the city.

Earlier Strelkov asked for women to volunteer, because there were not men enough to fight. The women did not come, but the Vostok Kadyrovs did...


Now even messages start to appear that local pro-Russian militia are asking TO JOIN THE UKRAINIAN ARMY to get rid of the Russian scum!!

And now this article says the Cossacks are going to support Ukraine too.

Arrival of reinforcements from Russia into Donetsk 28-5

In this video we can see the arrival of new troops into Donetsk:



The location where they are driving can be seen here:

As can be seen, they drive INTO the city, towards the center where the SBU building is that they occupy.

We don't know if there might be vehicles before the first one that we see, but this column consists of (at least) the following vehicles (with Vostok battalion logo's):

#1 APC or BTR with infantry
#2 Truck with infantry
#3 White bus full of infantry
#4 small white truck (with supplies/ammo?)
#5 yellow bus with infantry
# green personal car with some soldiers
#7 grey van with anti-aircraft gun behind it
#8 ambulance with sirens and lights on

There are at least 80 people here.
It is clear that these are fresh troops from across the Russian border, because up till now they did not have an anti-aircraft gun like this.
Also notice how they use an ambulance to transport their troops... These people don't care about ethics.

Another made up story by notorious Vostok batallion?

The story has been told that the Ukrainian army blew up a truck with their wounded and as such killed many.
Now have a good look...

Here is one of the Kamaz trucks that has been shot in Donetsk 26-5

Notice how mainly the front window is riddled, as well as the side door which is open.

At the back side you can see that there is a lot of obstruction. Also the inside of the open door is still intact. This means the truck has been shot at FROM THE FRONT.

Look in Google streetview what this position is and how it matches the photos (notice that the Porsche building is not there yet):

In these photos you can also see that the bullet holes in the front of the truck are bound INWARDS, not OUTWARDS. It also shows the bullets came from the front side.

If these bullet holes would have been from an earlier shooting that day, the driver would have removed the window, because it is impossible to see anything anymore, especially at night.

Now, this is the situation map:

The Ukrainians where at the airport, which is at the left side of the map. The rebels were at the right side. Look here for details and report about the situation.

The car is FACING TOWARDS the rebel side.

So we have to ask this question: How is it possible that a truck full of Russian (wounded?) mercenaries drives AWAY FROM the Ukrainian position TOWARDS the rebel side and then gets riddled from the front?

It is impossible that a helicopter shoots at the truck and only hits the window.

Did Vostok battalion make up another story for Russian propaganda?

What really happened
What really could have happened is this: they gathered all their dead, loaded them into a truck, put it on that particular spot, riddled the window and front side, made a scene of the location, just to have another gruesome story for journalists to photograph and write about, and tell everybody that the 'Ukrainian Nazis shot an ambulance with their wounded...'

What really happened is that they miserably failed in their attempt to seize the airport and just lost many men.

Note that Vostok battalion is notorious for making up stories without having any respect for their own dead. You can find another such story here (GRAPHIC).

In this one you can clearly see these bullet holes are outbound. It means they were shot through the door, from the side of the forest not from the Ukrainian side.
The forest was the hiding place of the rebels when they retreated as can be seen in the videos about the attack.

UPDATE
This interview with a Vostok member who was in the second truck confirms they had been shot by their own people.
